Forget the scary movies. The real thrill this Halloween is happening in a front yard in Tenafly, New Jersey, where a die-hard Knicks fan turned a championship moment into a spooky masterpiece. Vladimir Biberica didn’t just hang some plastic ghosts; he built a full-scale recreation of the Game 4 Finals “tip-in” that sealed the deal for the Knicks, complete with undead players and a pumpkin instead of a basketball.

This isn’t just decoration; it’s a statement. Biberica, who has been going all out on his lawn every year, decided the second the buzzer sounded that this specific moment was the only theme that mattered. Now, neighbors and fans from miles around are showing up to see the 12-foot “Wem-bone-yama” and the skeletal version of OG Anunoby tipping in the game-winner. It’s the kind of dedication that reminds us why we love this city and its sports teams.

Recreating History with a Pumpkin Twist

Biberica didn’t cut corners on the details. He calculated exactly where each player stood and how far they were from the hoop to make the scene authentic. The display features a 12-foot skeleton representing Victor Wembanyama and even includes “Celebrity Row” with skeletal versions of Timothée Chalamet and a wigged-out Taylor Swift, all fitted with the exact shirts they wore at the actual game.

The fan’s attention to detail is what makes the display so compelling. He told The Post that he knew immediately what the theme would be. “It was such an iconic moment, once it happened, I told my family if the Knicks win it all, that’s this year’s theme,” Biberica told The Post, according to the New York Post. He wanted to replicate OG Anunoby’s game-winning shot as accurately as possible, proving that for some of us, that moment is etched in our brains forever.

Even Celebrities Can’t Resist the Vibe

While the display is perfect, Biberica admits he has his critics, though they are mostly joking about missing stars. He noted that some people wanted more specific celebrity figures, but he had his limits. “People were complaining that I didn’t have [Law and Order star] Mariska Hargitay, but the only reason she wasn’t there is because I didn’t have a wig that would’ve looked like her,” Biberica said with a chuckle.

The reaction to the display has been overwhelming. Biberica admitted he was shocked by the attention his yard has received this year. “I’m completely flabbergasted, I can’t believe it’s blowing up the way it is,” he said. It seems like the whole neighborhood, and beyond, is ready to celebrate the Knicks’ victory in the spookiest way possible.

Bringing the Neighborhood Together

At the end of the day, this display is about more than just basketball or Halloween; it’s about community. Knicks fans are driving out to Tenafly just to get a look at the undead court and take photos with the skeletons. Biberica keeps his motives simple and pure, focusing on the joy of the moment.

According to him, his goal is simply to bring joy to the neighborhood and enjoy himself, while he expressed delight that the Knicks’ iconic moment keeps uniting people. In a world that often feels divided, seeing a group of fans unite over a pumpkin and a skeleton is exactly what New York needs right now.
